Futsal and Soccer tournament held at Ayala Westgrove Heights

Ayala Westgrove Heights hosted a two-day sports tournament called “Soccermania 7-a-side” for participants whose ages range from 14 to 40 and above. This event was made possible by sponsors Mizuno, Smart Addict Mobile Prepaid, Powerbar, and co-organizer Irok Sport. Tiffany Limgenco Pagal, assistant tournament director of Irok, shared that a day each was devoted to the men's and women's divisions at the sports-conducive venue.

“We are so very blessed that Ayala Westgrove Heights hosted this event. People were commenting on how this was a great place to live in because of the ambiance. The landscape and facilities were beautiful and well maintained. It was so peaceful and had that family feel to it.” She adds that the two-day event was well-attended, as relatives and friends of the participants showed their support for their teams and the sport itself: “Our tournaments are more than just venues where people compete; they're more like venues where people who love soccer come and have fun.” She hopes that football will flourish with more tournaments, as well as the continued support from the Philippine government and sponsors.

Winners of Ayala Westgrove Heights ' Soccermania event include New Long (1st ), Los Baños (2 nd ) and Irok Sport (3rd ) for Women's Futsal (indoor soccer). For the Men's category, the winners were the Archers Nestle (1st ), Los Baños (2nd ) and Irok Sport (3rd ). For Women's Soccer, the winners were Sphere 1 (1st ), UAI (University of Asia and the Pacific, Assumption College , Irok Sport) FC (2nd ), Los Baños (3rd ). The Men's category winners include Irok Sport (1st ), MSA ( Manila Soccer Academy ) (2nd ) and Sta Rosa Laguna A (3rd ). Winning teams were awarded trophies and given Mizuno Futsal Balls and Addict Mobile Prepaid cards as prizes.
